Why choose a celebrant?
Booking a celebrant means that you get a completely personalised experience, from the fact you get to know me and meet me before your big day to the script itself. It’s cost effective because you can do all of your paperwork in your home country which is cheaper. It’s less stress because you don’t need extra signed documents and the worry of them arriving in time.
Is a celebrant wedding a legal wedding?
It is not legally binding, this is something the celebrant associations are trying to work on for the future.
However it’s more meaningful, runs exactly like any wedding you might have attended before in that you have readings, vows, ring exchange, certificates and music. It’s not the same standard script used in civil weddings which only runs for a few minutes, as it’s one of the most important parts of the day it shouldn’t be rushed and you should be allowed the freedom to add whatever elements you like.
Can we write our own vows?
Absolutely you can write your own vows or ask for my help doing these. You can have modern vows, more traditional ones, spiritual or religious and these can be read by you both or a simple repeat after me.
Can we add symbolic traditions?
Yes of course, handfasting, sand ceremonies to sharing a whiskey or cocktail cup! Symbolic elements are always welcomed and we discuss how best to weave these into your ceremony.
What kind of cost and what happens about cancellation?
Pricing starts from 350 euros and once you book I will secure your date. Deposits are non-refundable but these are not taken until the year that you get married.
